There are plenty of people who thank God for the feats of medical science, I don't criticize your mocking them. I'm just pointing out that your bias against religion has blunted your ability to notice the ways certain religious statements are distinct. You're seeing John 11, it's actually 1 Thessalonians 5.

I'm aware of how they can differ. I just think this person is one who believes God either had some active hand in the situation or that by his 'providing' the knowledge and technology to help the kid, his leg was able to be saved. Either way, he did jack shit.
What I don't get, though, is why they're so quick to praise for something like medical science being 'provided' to us while completely ignoring the fact that he also provided that wonderful flesh eating bacteria that we need the science to combat. Hell, some people even believe our paths are laid out for us which would mean it was intended that the whole ordeal happened in the first place.
My older brother and sister's dad isn't doing so well and only has a few weeks left to live (throat cancer) and is refusing to let anyone see him, including my brothervand sister and his grandkids.
