This may be the worst idea ever lol. My solution would be to talk to HR. Tell them what you suspect, suggest they contact the IT department, who should be able to pull any and everything that's gone through the company's servers from their IP. If they're already not showing up to work, it should have your boss' attention.....and there are probably other indiscretions that will come to light.
