Ror Shak - Lisa's Song (feat Lisa Shaw)
Not a video, but good audio quality for YouTube.
Its a clubby mix but still catwalk and vogue worthy.
Jazzanova - That Night
Gilles Peterson?
I’m on BBC every day for news and never heard of him. This guy needs a front page spot.
My boss just had this video playing in his office, which is down the hall from me, it sounded like cats dying.

Trying desperately to wake up, and utterly failing.

One of my favorite Mannie Fresh beats ever. Some of the stupidest lyrics and definitely one of the worst haircuts in rap ever. Mack 10 looks sort of looks like a retarded thug Goldilocks.

Westside Connection on Cash Money was odd.

Not that I'm actually going to listen to it, but the new U2 album leaked today. I hate Bono with a passion, so I'm burning it for friends that somehow actually like U2.
LTATM: The Jerky Boys discography. Haven't listened to them in years and I'm laughing my ass off again.
Also got the Lou Reed / Velvet Underground discography. So I'll be listening to that tonight.
Wait, people actually listen to Velvet Underground? I thought that was one of those bands that everyone says they listen to but no one really does. I mean seriously, by the end of the song, White Light/White sounds like the CD is skipping.
;)
I'm totally kidding. Actually because of your post I put on Velvet Underground & Nico. Those fuckers make heroin sound pretty goddamn sexy.
Yeah, I was just kidding too. The torrent I got has the VU, Cale, and Nico songs. I'll check those out too. Don't believe I've heard any of those before.
And like they say in Trainspotting, Heroin is sex times a thousand. (paraphrasing).
And I feel just like Jesus son

Seriously, they need to hurry up with their CD, I neeedd more of their music. They're electronica/ambient, so if you guys like that, go to their myspace. Argh.
Crossroads Blues----Robert Johnson
Nobuo Uematsu ~ One Winged Angel (Orchestral Version)
Some of the most addictive music I've heard in a very long time.

Listening to the new track off Lacuna Coil's new album, Shallow Life. Song is called Spellbound. Still trying to think about how I feel about this. Hm.
You can hear the track here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO9qC9onFTE

fucking yes click that
It's not soooo bad there, at least not in the middle of the city. Now when you have to go install a Foreclosure sign in the ghetto parts of the city...not so good. I've been chased by people while trying to put a forclosure sign on their "house".
Harbor Yard is actually a nice place to see concerts though. Nice and small, so every seat is a good one. Saw Weezer and Foo Fighters there last time I was there. Great show.
New Gilles Peterson show. He’s still on the blue note kick but switches in more recent stuff. It’s all very deep, man. And very pretentious I suppose. Still, very groovy and connecting the dots.
Within Temptation-All I need
Blue Powder----Steve Vai
August Burns Red ~ Baby One More Time (Britney Spears cover)
I almost lost it from laughing so hard when I saw this song existed, but I had to listen. It's actually quite awesome.

Lyrics Born - I Like It, I Love It
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyZ4Q6uKn6g
Great video.
KiD CuDi - A Kid Named CuDi (Album). It's hiphop/rap, so beware if that's not your thang. It's on TPB. Not that I condone that type of activity.
Kid Cudi's pretty good. I like that Fresh track.
I'm also kind of digging Mike Posner & The Brain Trust too and I dunno why. He's sort of like Jack Johnson and Macy Gray merged and started doing spoken word over good production.
Lafee- Ring Frei
Air - Alpha Beta Gaga

Ignite ~ Fear is Our Tradition.
Also, another awesome song by them Bleeding:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0EhaQLQGZo
Deja Vu ~ Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
I had a shitty day a work today. Came home and just put my my Winamp on random. First song is Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff. Yeah, they are pretty shitty. But that song always gets me going when I'm in a bad mood.
LTATM - Hollywood Undead - Swan Songs (Album). Never heard any of their stuff. A friend send me the torrent. I'll let yas know if it's any good.
Edit: Sounds like P.O.D. and Linkin Park. Ehhhh. It's ok I guess. Nothing I'd ever pay for though.
Yeah. Great stuff. And they have really matured from Moon Safari. Here are some interesting videos of the guys talking about Talkie Walkie.

They're having "girl's night" out in the living room. So I'm streaming Girl Talk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK3O_...eature=related through my XBox. Bitches love to shake their asses to that. It's like a drug for them.
Cool. Reminds me of M. Ward.

I just downloaded some of his albums and it took me two songs to get hooked. There's a sort of quiet meditativeness about his music that's utterly beautiful.

Mike Posner & The Brain Trust - Drug Dealer Girl
http://boxstr.com/files/4989188_dg0i...ealer_Girl.mp3
He sounds like the product of Macy Gray and Jack Johnson getting together while high and deciding to put out a Henry Rollins-esque spoken word album with really pretty good R&B beat production.

Kind of, but I don't like trance very much. I like my beats a little darker.
Listening to all the SXSW band's discographies. I suggest everyone checks them out. There's some good stuff in there. And to offset that, listening to new Ghostface while playing NCAA 09 MME.
Grooving on the new Ursula 1000.
SKA SKA SKA $ LIFE!!!!
Sista Widey / Ursula 1000: Step Back (Deekline & Ed Solo mix)
The Rainchildren ~ Song to Myself (available on the music player at http://www.myspace.com/therainchildren)
Been listening to a lot of this band lately. They're a local group I fell in love with a long time ago. Broke up about 10 years ago and I found out they're reuniting to play a music festival this August. It will be glorious.

I just found this album of awful Mongolian hip-hop I picked up when I was in the country this summer. It's pretty roffletastic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_3-F...eature=related
There are a lot of insanely hot women in Mongolia. And they're all very good to their men, which is almost a shame because the men in Mongolia are a mess. Worked out well for some of us, though. :)
That totally reminds me of a Liz Phair song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZC-EOs_fyA
Here's another Mongolian band that I actually like. These guys would play at one of the bars in Ulaanbaatar every Tuesday night. For a long time we thought their name, Altan Urag, meant "Golden Fetus," but apparently that's too literal a translation.

I typically like their remixes best (their mgmt - kids and rolling stones - can't always get what you want) but that is an original that I like off of their documentary/live set, 'Part of the Weekend Never Dies.'

Gretchen
The Change-Garth Brooks
One hand
Reaches out
And pulls a lost soul from harm
While a thousand more go unspoken for
They say what good have you done
By saving just this one
It's like whispering a prayer
In the fury of a storm
And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me
This heart
Still believes
The love and mercy still exist
While all the hatred rage and so many say
That love is all but pointless in madness such as this
It's like trying to stop a fire
With the moisture from a kiss
And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me
As long as one heart still holds on
Then hope is never really gone
I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world we know
Never changes me
What I do is so
This world will know
That it will not change me

"This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath
No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again"

But yes, the music is actually pretty good.
Gretchen
And now here I am telling you, Gretchen, to watch it!
The music is good, surprisingly enough. I have been keeping my eye on this movie for awhile and trying to find it on DVD around where I live, but I wussied out and just downloaded it instead. I enjoyed it, really.
I am going to a midnight premier in Riverside for it, and it will include Shadow Acts. Can't wait. :D
