Washington Redskins will NEVER change name

I bet that'd suck. Being the first guy to do something so horrid, 95% of the world hates it. Like fucking your own daughter. Or deciding to form the Westboro Baptist Church.

You think an oil company's brand recognition is as important as a football team's?

I've seen fans destroy cities when their favorite sports team lost a game. I've seen fans destroy cities when their favorite sports team won a game. What are the Redskin fans going to do if the team changes their name? Do we really want to find out? Do we? These fans are likely the descendants of people who gave Native Americans blankets riddled with diseases.

I don't think Snyder should be forced to change the name. But it would be very cool of him if he did. It would be another step in the right direction for a tolerant society.

What is a good reason NOT to change the name?
