Ukraine will come out stronger, with renewed Western ties. Russia just looks like a bitch. I mean, I've always said they were, I just didn't realize how terrible they were at militarying.

So the proxy war between Armenia and azerjabain (turkey vs Russia) kicking back off isn't somehow due to Russia losing their influence? Got it.
And yes. Georgia defying and openly talking about opening another front against Russia is because of how weak Russia is now.
Oh, longterm I think Ukraine is the biggest winner here. I don't think they are an entirely "clean" ally, given their history of corruption, but if they can reform they will be a decent ally.
They remind me of Iraq prior to us going in and completely decimating them. They had the world convinced on how powerful their military was.. until they were tested.Quote:

Okay so you are doubling down now that much smaller states such as Georgia are going to attack a nuclear armed Russia? And you say I don’t understand international politics?
The absolute dumbest thing any country (other than Ukraine) can do right now is attack Russia. If Russia gets desperate enough they just start launching nukes, and once the nukes are launched who is to say they wouldn’t also aim a few at the US, prompting the US to launch their nukes too.
Biden would have to be the most brain dead person to have ever existed to take Georgia’s side in such a conflict. But then again he just might be, and Georgia knows this so maybe they are banking on his senility.
Do you have a source on Georgia opening up another front against Russia now? I remember reading something about that back when this Russia/Ukraine war started.. but most of the talk was from Ukraine and not Georgia.. and Georgia made a statement that they are only for peaceful resolutions to reclaiming the land that was taken from them.. and I haven't really heard anything since.
Soon Russia is going to start work on a pipeline to deliver gas to China, which they claim will export about the same amount as they were exporting to the EU prior to Western sanctions.
So...yeah...I'm sticking with my original argument that Russia is suffering very little due to all of this.
Sure their failure to conduct an offensive war against a country that is receiving high tech and modern equipment from the US and other Western nations is being exposed, but that's about it.
TGO thinks Russia is a threat to nuke countries on its border. It won't happen and it's not a valid threat. Even a small tactical nuke... the optics are so bad internally, especially when that fallout starts to blow easterly and your own people get cancer. Even Putin would lose an election if he did that.
I said IF another country started a war with Russia and they got desperate enough. What do you think Russia is gonna do? Just let another country conquer them when they have nukes at their disposal?
The optics wouldn't be that bad at all if Russia is defender in this hypothetical situation. You think it's just a coincidence that nuclear armed countries haven't been attacked since they acquired nukes?
