Having said that- income inequality in this country is most heavily felt in big cities. Significant income inequality in small areas causes rampant inflation. And on top of it, cities like SF intentionally chose to focus on building more commercial space rather than residential space (which was a horrible idea and made things far worse than they needed to be). But ultimately when you have a lot of people in one area competing for limited housing with a combination of either extremely high paying jobs or low paying jobs- you have a major problem. So Federal tax policies that have rolled back taxes on the wealthy (and the ones that allowed stock buybacks to occur) are doing the most damage where we have the highest population densities.
And hopefully that helps explain to you why it's so important to those of us in blue states to tackle income inequality. It's literally killing people.

Misunderstood youths are throwing eggs at the secret service outside the White House and appear to want to storm the fence of the White House.
This is going to get bloody very fast if they are stupid enough to think the secret service is going to allow that shit to happen.
Oh yeah and the racist piece of shit mayor of DC refuses to allow police officers to help keep order there stating it's "not their job" to protect the White House.
