Growing up Catholic, it was weird at first not to acknowledge a sneeze. It was even harder not to respond with a thank you, when someone blesses you for a sneeze. After a few decades of ignoring sneezes it then becomes weird to comment when someone expels air from their body. It's only polite because society is weird.

He does kind of have a point. I always thought these long standing "pay it forward" drink things were kind of weird.

I mean it's kind of cool when someone insists on paying for the next person's drink and the next person says "Aww, that's so awesome" and takes the free drink but when everyone pays for the next person's drink isn't the meaning kind of lost?

It's just a long line of accepting a free drink then paying for the next drink anyways.

I had that for a few weeks. Eventually the wife will realize she can pursue her own hobbies without interruption for the first time in decades.
