I was going to say, everyone has to do that shit now if they're on campus. They want to ensure that kids know that a shot, a glass of wine, and a beer all have the same alcohol content for different ounces (and they want you to know what they ounces are per drink) so that you don't die of alcohol poisoning by being like "I THOUGHT I COULD DRINK TEN SHOTS AND IT ONLY EQUALS ONE BEER?! NO?? OMG..."

There were questions about what constitutes "binge drinking" versus "social drinking" and shit too. I'm glad that schools are at least ATTEMPTING to curb the disgusting amount of booze consumed without a second thought... but an online course...ehhh not as effective. I remember for the loan one (which you have to do if you're taking out student aid) I just copied all of the info into word and went to the quiz and used the find function to answer specific questions (like interest rate numbers etc), rather than reading it all... Might explain why I'm like 60k in debt lol..

Rescued a baby bird a week ago. Made me smile wide. It survived healthy and happy.

In the early morning, one of my cats miscalculated a jump and fell into the large plastic toybox *the lid collapsed underneath her. Junky lid, junky box* that the bird was living in while it grew up to prepare to fly. She had no interest in the bird, but falling in scared her bad. She freaked trying to scuttle out of the box. The bird was surprised and scared. The bird had a heart attack from the surprise and died seconds later. I shed a few tears. I was so upset. Couldn't blame the cat. Wouldn't want to. Made me frown terribly. =(.

We learned the shot, wine, beer calculations in high school for driver's ed. It still surprises me that some people are clueless about relative alcohol contents.

I am a lot stricter than most of my friends who are crunchy as shit, which feels weird because I feel very indulgent with my own child.

But really, they're all, "Well Aspen didn't want to take a nap so I didn't want to hurt her self esteem and FORCE her to."

I'm like Eh if forcing him to take a nap hurts his self esteem we have different issues so I'm making this shit happen because otherwise he's a monster. I honestly I don't care what he wants and it doesn't even factor to what I do at this point, heh. He probably WANTS to drink pure sugar water and be rocked on a knee 24-7. Life sucks, kid. Rant incoming.

I have friends of similarly small children and infants who are like "Just don't do nap time!!! He knows what's best for himself!!" and their kids are hellions.

I can't trust my kid to not poop on my hand when changing him, I'm not trusting him to regulate his sleeping schedule.

I love parents like that. They believe that if they debate with their kid or have adult conversations with them to get them to agree to change their behavior will be better for their kids. Hilarious.

My friend has a 6 year old kid who they raised in this manner. Now he comes over to my house to "Get away from my evil kid".

He is in for SO MUCH MORE HELL later on in life.
