Washington Redskins will NEVER change name

My parents happen to be nonpolitical. My father is highly equal rights to everyone. He thinks everyone should leave everyone else alone, and prosper. My mother doesn't have two thoughts about it. My sister, however, acts like she should be treated equal, treats everyone else equal, and doesn't care for idiots who think they're better, and on the same page dislikes people who think they're worse. Apparently it propogates a bad image for everyone all around.

I happen to hate everyone equally. I'm a misanthrope, though. Go me.

And yeah, her bitching about slavery is funny to me. Not because slavery is funny, but because her family weren't slaves *far as she has told me, and her mother told her*, nor was she. It's just that 'wrong done to my people' bit that gets me chortling. Bandwagon and all that.


Sooo... yeah. She diverges pretty consistently from the thought patterns of my parents, and her mother. I don't know her mother's political belief, but then again she doesn't talk to her mom much, so I doubt they have similar views on much of anything.

Warriorbird, you make me laugh. My sister choked me when I was a teenager so she could watch BET and I wanted to watch Cartoon Network. Just please to you thinking I'm mocking her. I can laugh at my sister the same way she laughs at me. It's called affection. You should talk to your family more. Affection is a good thing. =)

PS: True story about the choking thing. She'll never live it down. NEVER! I'll never let her forget it. HAHA!

It's fine. I know a lot of you don't believe racism exists unless it is non white people that you disapprove of having emotions or Democrats not being nice to the token candidates. It is quite possible to believe that we're all actually equal but we're not treated equally within society and we don't have the same opportunities or backgrounds. Logical even.

Wow. Pleasant memories of choking and shared insults and lack of empathy. I clearly don't understand family affection.

Oh and by the way, white people were dominant in this country 20 years ago. We're soon to be the minority. Lots of people think white people are racist, and that whole Nazi/Aryan thing, hey I guess some are. But they're nowhere near the majority anymore, over the next 15 years.

I said dominant rather than majority or minority. Similar to how there are more women but they still earn less.

It looks like the topic's come full circle now. "I have a black friend/family member who says it's ok, and as one person can be representative of a race it has since been declared there is no problem here."

Meh, all laughter about it aside, I've seen my share of people who are racist, on both sides. It's deplorable no matter what side of the coin you're on. That's why I like being at a computer. Nobody knows what you are unless you tell them. It takes a lot of courage to tell someone what ethnicity you are, because you might be hated. But people, even on PC of all places, seem to be rather welcoming. Minus one or two closet nimrods.

I find it humorous that one of the people talking about how trivial this is was, just a few months back, throwing a hissy because he was being discriminated against and couldn't get a ticket to CCF... which was, of course, serious business.
