Heh! I didn't even think of that. The idea was mine but the description goes to the tattoo artist who was in the Landing last month. Thank god it can't be seen by everyone then!

Just thought about that, and must it be darkly instead of just dark?

Also, tramp stamps done in good taste are nice. Just remember that it will be generalized as much. Besides, a Slyph that tall has got to show it in anything they do, you'd think. :devilsmile:

You spin your ecru linen parasol, letting it twirl freely against your shoulder.
You whistle tunelessly to yourself, remembering days past.
Alania chuckles.
You attend to your ecru linen parasol, making the parasol as presentable as possible.
It would be easier to close your parasol before attempting to lean on it.
You release the upper catch and pull your ecru linen parasol closed.
You pose prettily, leaning on your furled parasol.
Alania chuckles.
Stunseed asks, "For the ecru Crew?"
You adopt an agreeable expression.
You flash a wide grin.
Stunseed nods.

Here's the armband:

a polished silver spiral armband

Fine silver wraps around itself to form an armband crafted to spiral around the wearer's upper arm, climbing ever higher rather than forming a complete circle. The armband's ends curl back on themselves and become small disks upon which brilliantly cut gems are mounted -- one a shimmering clear diamond while the other boasts a fine green glimaerstone. Delicate engraving winds its way along the body of the armband, connecting the two gems.
There appears to be something written on it.

In the Common language, it reads:
"A Shadow and a Queen, separate no longer."

It's one of a set, bonded Dartoc rings that were made for Nilandia and Respital's wedding rings. The diamond was to symbolize Respital while the glimaerstone is for Nilandia. Shadow and Queen are their nicknames for each other.

There's a story Respital told Nilandia once, that they have two halves of the same soul. The gods then placed the halves into their bodies and cast them to the ends of the world, taking bets to see how long it would take for them to find each other. Hence, the engraving of them being separate no longer. That's also the reason for the design being a spiral. The gems, representing each other, are connected by the silver.
