I suppose it is public information what party a person is registered to vote as. Can’t imagine being assigned the task to find out as a journalist or whoever did the research for Yale. Any doctor visit or hospital visit I don’t recall any questions asking about party affiliation.

I'm not sure how accurate a poll like this will be. There's a polling phenomenon where if people feel there is a "wrong" answer they will give the "right" answer. Considering how people were being negatively labeled for not taking the vaccine, this would certainly be one of those occasions

Too many variables to classify by political party, Republicans tend to be in the older age brackets...etc.

All polls have some margin of error. You asked for a source, I provided a reliable one.

Seran said more republicans died than democrats, which from multiple sources have stated that it is true.

Republicans are older and are more at risk, which is/was more of a reason to get the vaccination.
But a 9 point swing before and after the vaccine roll out, in itself is quite telling.

You can tell just how little you read of the study itself as both Florida and Ohio have available databases for researchers to obtain party affiliation information. It's both a valid health and sociological reason to determine how political ideology leads to stupid medical decisions.
