Trump’s rise and appeal grew from the desire of people to drain the swamp of corrupt lifelong career self-serving politicians. Conservative science goals - Nonexistent. The only science which was paid attention to was that which offended Christian beliefs: see Conservative social reforms. Retarding scientific growth on the behest of religious zealots is five hundred years dead.
