I’m fortunate to be in a good financial position where I can afford to give them a head start / advantage in life. I pay their tuition and basic living expenses right now. When they finish college I expect them to start their careers and establish their own permanent residence. I will help with that, as well as buying their first home when the time comes & situation is right.

This is logical and sounds like a solid family approach.

The article was not about that, at all. That's the point... no politics involved in it.

I remember in the early & mid 2000s as a working young adult at that time, a good number of people my age lived as what we called $30k (salary) millionaires. Luxury retailers loved those people because they lived WAY beyond their means. They lived with 3-4 roommates in a not so large apartment. They leased a new 5 series BMW, had an amazing wardrobe consisting of popped double collared polos with Christian Dior jeans, and crippling credit card debt. Those guys were douche bags but at least they didn’t live with their parents…

Turns out Musk had a secondary goal in buying Twitter, to shut down the activities of the man tweeting his flights and movements throughout the country, you know, in the name of freedom of thought, expression and all that. Hypocrite.
