I'd mostly just be thankful that I had folks willing to take me and my family in for the duration. If they want to question my whereabouts because they are going to the bother to cook for me, that's cool.

It's fine. Family meals are important, we always ate together growing up and at my house my wife, kids and I always have dinner together at the dinner table so there's no real change, just a bigger table. We take turns cooking.

I really don't get the response (at least you understand it's irrational) of ZOMG A SIMPLE QUESTION I MUST REBEL AND RUN FROM IT!!!!

Gelston there won't be trick or treaters, I've got 3 neighbors within a mile at the new place.
