It's great that Ukraine didn't just roll over and let Russia take over, like the Afghan military/government did, but at what cost? It's been over a month and Ukraine is just playing defense and Russia is turning entire cities into rubble so even if Russia pulls out someday it will take Ukraine probably decades to recover.

No. I'm just saying, Russia pretty much already won. I highly doubt Russia actually wanted to annex all of Ukraine so they don't give a shit about Ukraine cities being turned to rubble. They probably wanted to quickly install a puppet government but reducing Ukraine to ashes is probably a pretty close second for them.

From what I've read only the foreign minister had spoken on it and he said was basically along the lines of I cannot confirm or deny it, because I don't know military information.

How'd they win? They managed to get a united front against them. NATO was the weakest its ever been, and they've shown exactly how weak their military is.

Building on what has been said, I honestly don't know if the cost of helping Ukraine is worth it moving forward. Economically, it's a money sink for the United States and Zelensky, his cabinet and Parliament have all said in recent days, they expect the Western nations to come together and contribute to rebuilding Ukraine, with the US shouldering most of the cost in a modern Marshall Plan. Funny though, how Zelensky has gotten before the cameras several times insulting the same governments he's begging for help from.

It's poorly ran political game by the Ukrainians, insulting the United States with the hopes of manipulating President Biden into action by giving ammunition to his political rivals. He honestly needs to shut the fuck up and stop biting the hand that's feeding him.

Not really. Plenty of countries are lining up to do business with Russia. Europe is still begging Russia for gas and oil.

They already had an expensive military. They need to change their doctrine, that is something money can't buy.
