He consolidated his primary hotels into it (including the business from his first Ch 11), and Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts ends up being the major shareholder of Trump's other companies (And by major, I mean THCR can own as much as 99% of "another" business- like, say, Trump Atlantic Associates). You saying that they were separate businesses just means you don't really understand how this all works (and how Trump has managed to ensure his personal finances aren't impacted when he runs a business into the ground). If you're going to argue that Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts, for example, is a wholly separate entity in all practical terms from Trump Atlantic Associates, then you're genuinely just lost in big picture of the debate at hand.
And the ultimate point here is that Trump manages to do well **FOR HIMSELF**. He has screwed over several businesses and countless individuals over the years on his way to his fortune. A man who saves his own skin at the expense of others is *not* Presidential. Back's point about the bankruptcies was intended to demonstrate that his "financial success" isn't "success" that one would count as an advantage in a Presidential candidate.
It's also extremely telling that I had to point this out to you.
