Delta Air Lines. We were across the street from airport putting gas in rentals around 3:45 and they call to tell us our flight from Flint, Mi would be delayed. Flight was for 6pm, but they said they could try to get us on a 5:30 flight in Detroit so we wouldn't miss the connecting flight in Atl to Tampa. Took about 15-20 minutes to get a van to take us for the ~1 hour ride (in good traffic). Already the math doesn't add up, but we give it a shot. And of course there's a fucking wreck on the highway that delays us. Get in around 5, half of our group was ~15 minutes ahead but we'd already missed the flight.
The dumb fucks in Flint never told the people in Detroit we were coming. They managed to get some of us on a direct flight to Tampa and the rest got shuffled to Atl overnight where they managed to shred the back of the baby seat. We all got a $10 food voucher... thanks. Where do you see anything for $10?
According to the lady driving us to Detroit, they'd already screwed up a couple other flights that week. Fuck Delta.
Yup, my mom had to practically run across the entire airport today because the delays ended up only giving her about 10 minutes to catch her connecting flight.
