Nah - my decision is not based on religious principles. I just personally don't like therapists. And I guess I would do a colonoscopy but then Id want to be under general anesthesia and knocked out on drugs for a couple days after. What other people do is their business just as mine is my own. If therapy works for you or anyone else, great.

You misunderstand what a therapist does (and in possibly related news, how endoscopies work). Unless they are also a psychiatrist they do not prescribe medication, in the same way that a physical therapist can't prescribe you pain killers unless they are also a medical doctor.
I would wager your objections to therapy are 100% religious (albeit not having anything to do with Christianity), which is why you have concocted these obviously flawed rationalizations.
