Most dogs are. People lose their dogs more on the 4th from them running away than any other day of the year. Don't feel bad for him. In his old age he's been adopted by good owners that care about him. He's lucky in my book.

People keep saying that he's lucky to get adopted because he was so old but, really, we were lucky to find him. He's the best dog ever.
Except with very loud, sudden noises :/
Our other dog and cat can sleep through fireworks but they are used to living in a sometimes raucous household.
Shit, if I was a dog I'd be scared too. Last night some kids were launching the big loud ones, and I still jumped every time one went off.
That's what we get for living in unincorporated areas smack in the middle of a bunch of Indian reservations. I have to sit home and babysit my horses every year who are pretty sure it's war. I can't argue with them much. The air is so thick with smoke once the mortars are lit and the dust settles that you can't see your hand in front of your face. Rednecks, explosives, and copious amounts of alcohol. I Love 'Merica!
Too frickin hot here, good god. Went to the sand diego zoo today, it was fun but then there was too much walking and too much sun.
