I hate the fact insurance is sold through individual franchises (or however it's setup) and not actual reps employed by the actual insurance company.

So recently, after getting out of state federal jury duty due to the fact of the finantial hardship it would leave me in for the 8 weeks i would be required (my employer does not compensate for jury duty), I have been summoned again by the district this time.....ugh. In all honestly I wouldn't mind going if I got paid for real, but they don't really offer anything to cover what I would lose from missing work, not to mention we are short handed at this time and would likely cause me some issues down the road. ::sigh:: All in all, I don't feel it's fair of them to ask me to pay them (in a sense, because I'd have to tap into my measley savings to pay bills) to go to jury duty.
I ripped off part of one toe nail. Every time I rolled over last night (which is often because I'm a restless sleeper) it would brush against the sheet or a dog and my nerves would light on fire and I'd wake up. Band Aid did not help. Now the seam of my sock keeps rubbing against it no matter how I adjust it. I'm regretting the fact that my mutant power isn't immediate toe nail renewal.
That is the fucking worst. The worst. I'm sorry :(
My soon to be mother-in-law had a MRI done yesterday because the last two weeks she has been really off...slow at everything, trouble moving her left foot's toes, memory loss, etc. Last night the family got the call from the doctor and she was admited to the hospital...brain tumor.
She is halfway through surgery as I write this in the hospital. We're lucky that it's small and operable. Going to be a long night and it's been so hard on my fiancée. I just wish there was more I could do for her and her parents...
Hope she's ok dude, sorry.
She is out and in the ICU. We are waiting to see her. All went well - thank God.
For the record I sent a vibe saying "God bless" and not "surgeon bless" so no. Only God deserves thanks. That's science.
My fiancée warned me that she didn't want to be seen without her dentures prior to my arrival and before this started. I ignored it and went in anyways with her and her dad. She's all jacked up on meds and recovering from a major surgery, but managed to give me a cold stare and waved her arm towards the door. I'll take that as a very good sign. She is one tough old braud. So I'm sitting in the waiting room alone.
Oh and...
*Thank God for blessing us with a talented surgeon that did a fantastic job. Thank you God for blessing this young man's hands and mind. Thank you that through your wonders my fiancée's mother was able to wake up from the anesthetia and that everything appears ok. Thank you for blessing us with the understanding of science and the physical ways of this world so that these types of surgeries are even possible.
Better?
