Most doctors, unless it's a small family doctor or center, won't remember much about your medical history short of the 2 minutes after they go over your file notes (or the MA gives them a run down) before they walk through the door to see you. I work for a group of hand surgeons, podatrist and orthopedic doctors and while they might remember your face, your name and a couple basic things, they won't remember a whole lot else about you. We're extremely slow right now and they are still putting in 200 or so surgeries and only a handful of patients actually get turned into cases and I know our docs don't remember half the patients that come through the doors. That being said, 1000 patients a month is extremely high for one doctor. That's 50 patients a day on a 5 day schedule which is do-able... but that means during an 8 hour workday he spends about 9 minutes per a patient - with no breaks. That's not the kind of doctor I'd want to see. Anytime I go into the doc, I make sure he spends no less than 20 minutes with me.Quote:
