So what I hear you all say is lowering the price of oil from $130+ per barrel to $88 as of today by coordinating with energy producing and oil stock piling nations was too effective. That sounds like a personal problem.
Oil was at $55.66 a barrel when this useless President took office. That same barrel of oil is trading at $96.10 right now.
Just so we are both on the same page, $55.66 is less expensive than $96.10. Also, $96.10 is more expensive than $55.66.
Hopefully that explanation helps you understand... but I'm not holding my breath.
Did you mention our strategic reserves are at near record lows? That we have an emergency supply of diesel of a million barrels, which will last 6 hours if we have to use it to replace demand.
Also, don't look at the billions we are sending Ukraine (more than we sent to Afghanistan on average) and that the nuclear threat level is higher than it's ever been.
And our president can't form a sentence without a prompter. And where's waldo, I mean Kamala?
How about never before seen invasion of 2+ million illegal invaders on the southern border?
Begging OPEC to produce more oil gets laughed at, and in fact reduce and Iran sending drone tech to Russia to support their invasion?
Don't forget about Biden's promise to unify the country. Oops, probably shouldn't tell half of them they are ultra maga racists.
Do the US have a standing anywhere anymore?
I'll be extremely sad if it's not the biggest mud stomping midterm ever. Life will go on if it isn't and I won't burn down cities, like democrats do, but I'll still be sad.
The irony of it all is Democrats have made oil extraction cleaner, safer, and more efficient by forcing oil companies to be less wasteful. Further, the push for higher fuel efficiency standards and electric vehicles means less fuel used domestically would in the long run have stretched out domestic supplies for decades longer, if the Republicans hadn't forced oil and petroleum product export laws to be lifted.
Now Americans get to compete on the world wide market for the products of their own soil. Thanks Republicans!
Meanwhile the Saudis realizing that once the oil runs out in their country, their only export will be sand and religious fanaticism, has already begun investment into diversification.
