Speaking of moving goalposts, limiting the budget to a 1% increase over two years isn't a cut, you're banking on that being less than year over year inflation and calling it a cut is blatant calling a win after the goal post. $10B reduction in IRS funding out of an $80B increase? Still a net gain of $70B to the IRS who will use that money to enforce against tax cucks. Clawing back $30B in unspent Covid-19 stimulus? So much for that “we won’t consider anything except a clean debt ceiling increase.” LOL! More to come later this year when Congress meets again for budget discussions.
