You are right, the fringe do not "represent" the party. However what was the fringe Left 15-30 years ago IS the party now. So, seeing the decline of the Democrat party which tried to veil it's self in traditional values as it morphs into the Socialist/Communist party of today is disturbing to rational people. Of course you are not concerned so there is that. At the speed of it's decline, I imagine it won't be long until you all will be calling for syringe buttons or patches on clothes, papers and so on. Then lots of military parades and the calling for the end to local policing, local control of legislative and judicial bodies and the nationalizing of the vote. Oh . . . wait . . .

But nope! They meant Neil Young. Because you know, Neil Young is such an important and well known figure that they totally didn't confuse him with the much more successful and well known singer Neil Diamond.

It's funny because a few days before this dumb shit started I was talking to a friend and I mentioned Neil Young, then I was like "Wait a minute...is Neil Young a singer? Or am I confusing him with someone else?" And my friend said "No, Neil Young is a singer, he sings 'Sweet Caroline'." Then a couple of minutes later he said "Oh wait, Neil Diamond sings 'Sweet Caroline', I have no idea then."

I'm not saying Neil Young is some nobody, but he sure as shit thought he was way more important than he was, and now the left and the media are trying to make him more important than he really is.

Oh the last fifteen years we've had one triumphant step towards major Democratic policies with the Affordable Care Act, which by the way was not only a massive success in reducing the per capita medical costs of Americans and dramatically increased coverage.

Beyond that, Republicans have blocked minimum wage increases at the federal level, destroyed balance budgets with tax cuts without spending cuts and are poised to hurt a woman's right to choose an abortion via the Supreme Court. Republicans destroy progress.

Minimum wage shouldn't be a federal thing. Different places have different costs of living, and it varies wildly even within states.
