I started getting serious about lifting again...worst part is always the damn diet. Moving iron is easy compared to this stupid diet. I'm pretty sure if I add words like "whole grain" in front of a baconator I'm allowed to have one or three.
There are a lot of processed whole grain products out there saturated in sugars and oils to make them taste palatable. My whole grain staples are short grained brown rice, steel cut oats, bulgar wheat and red kidney beans. Cook for yourself so you know what you're getting. Lifting makes me crave fats, so I always try to have a meal prepared or at least planned in advance.
