Oh I know. It was a stupid mistake by an old man who doesn't understand technology.
It was a monumentally stupid mistake and the only thing the guy will ever be known for.
I'm a little torn between this... because what if your brother was accused of doing that and you had the ability to help him. Maybe he should have taken a leave of absence to help his brother.Quote:
I don't think it is nearly as bad as what Cuomo was doing.... Which CNN completely knew about and is only doing something because the AG put out that report letting everyone know.
Chris is/was an attorney so he was helping his brother the best he could. Yea, some lines were crossed.. but CNN saying that it was unethical... like journalists today have any real ethics.. is laughable.
Now if he was just advising his brother on how to address this in the press... yea, to me not a big deal. If this was about getting information / dirt on the accusers.. then I hope Frodo gets fired and never works again in his life.
No, I completely get helping out a brother. As a corporation, that goes against CNN's best interests and shouldn't be allowed. So either go all in and support him or don't let him do it period. That they are only doing anything about it when they are caught just shows how duplicitous they are.
I don't care about Tubbin or Cuomo. I think they both did stupid things but should be given the grace to continue earning their living if they were to apologize and/or acknowledge the mistakes they made. We all make mistakes, they are just directly in the public eye. And it's not like I'd ever watch either of them, so what do I care if they continue working? There are far worse people we need to cancel.

"Biden HIV/AIDS strategy calls racism 'public health threat'"
"Historically, gay and bisexual men have been the most disproportionately affected group. They account for about 66% of new HIV infections, even though they account for only 2% of the population, according to the CDC. In 2019, 26% of new HIV infections were among Black gay and bisexual men, 23% among Latino gay and bisexual men, and 45% among gay and bisexual men under the age of 35.
To reduce the disparities, the strategy includes calls for focusing on the needs of disproportionately affected populations, supporting racial justice, combating HIV-related stigma and discrimination and providing leadership and employment opportunities for people with or at risk for HIV."
I don't even know where to start... combatting AIDs = good.
Blaming AIDs on racism? = WTF is this an Onion article?
Can people please stop blaming literally everything on racism, or are they incapable? And if you aren't able to separate the good intentions from the insanity in this article, just /shrug.
Whoa dude, cultural appropriation.
