I tried to enact a Cartesian rejection of my experience and memories so as to objectively investigate this issue but failed. Failed, and reflexively protected.

That reminded me, I read a short story once where all the characters were referred to with gender neutral pronouns and names. You never knew who was female and who was male. It was very disconcerting.

Did it take place in norwegian public school?

It was years ago but from what little I remember it was set in a futuristic society where gender references have all but been eradicated for some reason I can't remember.
