I've got mixed emotions on RHCP or I'd join you. "Under the Bridge" is still one of my favorite songs ever.
I personally wouldn't rank them among my top bands in terms of artistry or just sheer talent (aside from Flea) but I think they're enjoyable listening. I've heard a lot of people complain about Anthony Kiedis' singing but I like his voice and was into what they were trying to do with John Frusciante for a while with the backup vocals and stuff.
