This idiot is living proof he knows nothing about firearm safety he is violating the first 4 rules.

Treat all guns as if they are always loaded.
Never let the muzzle point at anything that you are not willing to destroy.
Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot.
Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

And while I would never hold an AR with only my fingertips, they recoil so little it is possible to do it.

After I posted I was looking at the picture again and realized that the rifle does not have any sights on it. I wonder if they removed whatever was on there for some reason or of the kid is good enough to shoot without sights.

Looked like it had a holographic sight or a reddot in other pictures, he probably took it off when they made him surrender the rifle cuz those shits are kinda expensive

None of my AR's have an ejection port cover or forward assist, I am not humping through the 'Nam or the Sandpit so don't really need it, plus I just think it looks a lot cleaner. But you're right, if it has it then it should be closed until you cycle the bolt.

But hey, give him credit, at least the bolt is forward.

I always had a sort of nervous tick where I always checked my ejection port cover over and over.

It is because right before this he had someone clear it, likely because he had no idea how. The way he was talking about the ammo and all that leads me to believe he learned everything from movies.

He is sitting there acting like FMJ isn't the standard ammo that is available for ARs. And then he is all "It goes through vests!" Well yeah, all rifles do. Soft armor is only made to stop pistols.
