I think I read yesterday there are 12 active congressional investigations into Trump now (Cummings investigation just being one). Tax dollars at work.

To be fair, the Russian investigation has brought in more than it's cost. Some of the other financial investigations could also end in the green.

And Democrats had the nerve to bitch about the Benghazi investigations. Maybe I'm just crazy but I can see the need for extensive investigations when one of our embassies is attacked and 4 people are killed, including our ambassador, and help didn't arrive until a couple of hours after the initial attack was over.

Someone let me know if one of these investigations is anywhere close to being on the same level.

So you think investigations against democrats are good for the country and investigations against republicans are just witch hunts that waste money. Why am I not surprised.

Not really. Manafort forfeited many assets, it doesn't mean the government gets to keep all of it. A lot of that money came from properties that Manafort still owed money on so the banks are trying to get their money back from the properties first. There are also various other people and companies who claim Manafort owes them money that are trying to get paid.

Unless Mueller finds another piggy bank to raid to justify his expensive 2+ year nothing burger his investigation is going to cost millions of dollars.
