Just quit my job today in about the least mature and adult way possible short of shitting on my bosses desk. In 10 years a total of a 2 dollar pay raise and never any benefits is not significant enough for me to constantly suffer the blame for other people sucking at their fucking jobs. I feel like I should be more worried about the future, but honestly I can only regret the waste of a decade of my life working in that shit-hole.
Pretty dumb move man. Now you're looking at no benefits + 0 pay (to include the pay raise) while not being eligible for unemployment benefits and having a family to support. You know better than that, suck it up and look for a new job WHILE holding the shit position.
Yeah, I understand that. It was an impulse I managed to not give into 8 times during the same conversation, but number 9 slipped out. My wife's income and benefits is enough to support us and pay all the bills and what not, things will just be a little tighter while I look for regular work. I've got over 6 months pay saved if something big comes up. That place is an apathy trap and honestly I will be better off not being there, not to mention the 100 mile commute was killing a large portion of what I was taking home anyway. Even finding something just slightly over minimum wage locally will essentially net me the same.Quote:
