Football, the sport that was designed and packaged to work well on TV. Right. Do something for 3 seconds, do nothing for 45, do something for 3 seconds, do nothing for 45. Time for a commercial. Awesome. Baseball is a sport of technique, watching the movement on the ball as it leaves the pitcher's hand, etc. And in all honesty, why are women talking about football. Do you know what it's like to watch football with women. It's terrible, it's absolutely terrible. FLAME WARR!!!!!!

Those 3 seconds involve more movement than the entire game of baseball.

Some women really enjoy football.

I'll stick with soccer and hockey and boxing. Fuck your baseball AND your football. They're both fun games to play but watching is so fucking boring.

This, except I feel it is my patriotic duty to reject soccer.

Goes to show how much opinions can vary. I like playing soccer, always have, but damn is it boring to watch. I'd rather watch golf.

Every defensive player has a job to do on every batted ball. You might as well suggest that football isn't truly a team sport because the quarterback only hands off or passes to one other guy. Just because you're not paying attention to everyone else doesn't mean they aren't doing anything.

The defensive players have the job of being prepared for every play, but the best possible play for the defense in baseball allows the outfielders to just stand there scratching their balls.

Even on a straight up the middle running play in football, the wide receivers on the ends have to throw a block or run a fake route so their guy just doesn't come up from behind and disrupt the play.

Baseball's defense is reactive, and isn't always necessary. Football's defense is a mix of proactive and reactive, and is always necessary.
