Oh so this is the place for whining. Ok.

So one time I had an itchy butt and since I had just got my clinic results back I knew that venereal disease was probably not the issue. I should go back to the beginning. I was crawling around in the mud and sand and a spider bit me. And the guy next to me was crying, I'm not sure if he was allergic to the poison oak or just live fire. Oh well. Back to the point. I don't really have a reaction to poison oak. I'm like immune or some shit. Which is great for when you are in an old ladies castle at night trying to breach the perimeter of her herb garden. No not that kind! Do you have any fucking idea how hard it is to get fresh cardamom in northern ireland? No, you fucking don't, OKAY. What was I saying? Oh. So there are alot of mosquitos in Texas and I don't recommend squatting in the woods. But yeah, FUCKING ANTICOR. SIR ASSHOLE. You should have warned me about the mosquitoes. I depend on you to moderate my life and my itchy itchy butt.

So someone starts a thread asking for feedback about building, I suggest something, make the outrageous assertion that the PC is a rough crowd, and this is how Hamticor the Administrator reacts. I'll point out that there was plenty of jibes in the thread about me but you are the one who flipped out over my meager contribution and mild warning/criticism.

Hey, thats cool. I laugh about the "take the case off" and "drill some holes in it" jokes. I'll participate. You just seemed a bit overly pissy this morning. Drama much? You were as rough as it gets around here.

You keep bringing it up and rewriting it to suit your side of things so I feel at the very least I can oblige you with a reply in an appropriate place. I know everyone can see this who cares to and I hope someone else does because I don't think you'll be able to properly appreciate it.

First, since when does asking for advice automatically mean I have to take that advice? Not only is that an absurd notion to begin with but impossible considering how much different advice can be solicited on the PC.

I remember two distinct things. DIY or order/buy a box from a site that has a good build or what you specify.

You say I didn't take any advice. I say I did both. I bought a decent box at a crazy low price then got my hands dirty to make it an even better box all for cheaper than if I had had one of those sites build it for me using the exact parts in my box priced out from Newegg.com as I posted in my thread. That obviously went over your head but not surprising since thats not much harder than hurdling a small hedge.

The nerdrage that erupted at the mention of Best Buy purchase was like walking into a hipster party wearing a polo shirt. Yes, the pretension is so thick amongst some of the so-called gamer computer expert geeks, most likely people who say they build their own when all that really entails is clicking a few buttons on a web site, I half expected someone to claim they were into SCSI before it was popular.

I did not replace everything. I did replace the power supply. I added a kickass vid card like the one you have (runs hot dosen't it?), an SSD drive, four fans, and a vent. The basic box was soooo cheap it did not have one single fan in it and yes the steel box of a case is as basic as it gets. I'm lucky there were holes for the other three fans I put in!

In the process of all this I have learned a few things, believe it or not, unlike yourself who has to touch the oven every morning to see if the fire actually does burn.

None of the jibes about the case or the drilling bother me because I have a kickass rig that I put time and effort into for a lower cost than if I had just bought a prefab from Cyberpower and have learned a great deal in the process.

So, tl;dr...

I don't know whats got you so riled up in the mornings these days but I hope for your sake you figure out what it is and remedy it.
