Just got everything hooked up and put in DriveClub game. Downloading update file began and it says it's going to take 22 hours. I googled the issue and saw recommendations to change primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and secondary DNS TO 8.8.4.4, as well as change MTU to 1473, all of which I did. This did not seem to really help the issue though. Anyone have any other suggestions? I am connecting wirelessly.

Try to connect wired. PS4 seems to take ages when I do anything wirelessly. Bought a game yesterday off the store and it was going to be 20 hour download. Plugged in directly and it went down to like 2 hours.

Weird, never had an issue with this...my PS4 is wireless connected to my main router that everything in my house runs through...

My teenage daughter is a big Star Wars fan, so we got her a bunch of Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars stuff for Christmas, to run on my PS4...I generally only use my PS4 for Madden, so I hadn't used it in a good long while...when attempting to load up all the new Disney Infinity stuff, I had to do a ton of updates. It took like 15 minutes.

Buy Rocket League dammit. I think it's even on sale right now for $12.

So this worked. Thanks. But now my router is on the other side of the house and I can't plug my main computer directly in to it anymore. But for now wireless seems to be working fine with the computer, so we'll see. I know wired vs. wireless makes a difference, but it doesn't seem like it should have made that big of a difference.

That's just google DNS, which is a reliable DNS, but shouldn't make a difference in download speed. Might make a difference in pings to previously unvisited websites, but certainly not any d/l speed difference.
