Armor and hiding

I'm on my phone so it's hard to effectively scour the wiki but I think I did an okay job looking and could not find anything explicitly stating such armor provides a stealth hinderance and I have seen in some posts folks talking about the proper armor or beat armor for stealth and chain was good and then it wasn't but was wondering if there is spmewhere concrete I could look. I am UAC and even with the penalties plan on going chain because although I stalk and hide sometimes it's easier to just hunt in the open (slow swingers like farmhands).

Armor class matters for Armored Stealth as plate class drops the bonus to zero. The lighter the armor class, the closer the bonus will be to its max.

Armor also affects your ability to hide when using the combat maneuver Vanish.
