Steam Winter Sale

Steam's winter sale will be starting sometime today. The date leaked via Paypal advertisements. Valve recently changed the discount formatting to no longer include Daily and Flash sales, so whatever you see that catches your interest on day 1 will be at the lowest price available.

Time to get those Wishlists in order.

I set up a folder for games I bought on sale. Before I can play anything new I purchased i'll force myself to play the untouched backlog for at least an hour a game. It's about 50/50 whether i'll play longer than that, but at least I can say I tried them out.

I can't remember the last time I bought a game from Steam. I think I did when it first came out because I thought it was cool you could stream it and start playing almost right away. If that's the one I'm thinking of.

I am at 275 steam games, and about 50 non steam games. I would say there are.. 225 games I haven't even touched.

This is mostly due to Humble Bundle though.

Same. My backlog is huge due to Humble Bundles. I wrote the majority of those games off. Only new purchases go in the folder. You have to start somewhere.

Nah, he's the guy that they hired to do the live action crap. He's on the cover and in the game I guess. Andy McDermott. Check him out on FB. Trying to make his way in acting. Not a bad score, wonder how much he signed the contract for.

Since the sale is static for the entire time period and there are no minigames to play, it's kind of boring. At least I can make 27 cents a day from selling those cards you get from the discovery queue.

I might get GalCiv 3 but I haven't decided yet... the only other stuff I'm looking at are expansions which either aren't discounted or are only discounted for 10%.

I'm picking up the Van Helsing Final Cut and Space Marines 40k Ultramarines for sure. Other games I may or may not get are: Axiom Verge, Rebel Galaxy, Halo: Spartan Assault, Undertale and Just Cause 3.
