Real life does not always live up to the movies I guess. They were lucky that the IED blew up about two feet past the car instead of right under it.

Grenades don't make gas can fireballs like in the movies, either. Anti-tank rockets and artillery shells don't look much impressive either, unless you're on the receiving end.

On the other hand, they can sound impressive, and nothing's going to simulate the concussion you feel from one, either.

Its not the explosion from the grenade that kills you, its the shrapnel that it shoots out.
If the IED was to explode under the truck there would be casualties.

Thanks for posting that Dave. You know, sitting here in the comfort of my own home, its hard to imagine what things are like over there right now. From the looks of the video, Bagdad is still trying to thrive, just like any other city... except instead of trying to navigate between crazy drivers, you also have to watch out for the odd bomb or machine-gun fire.

You’re a better, or crazier, man than I am for wanting to go there.

You're a good guy backlash, so more than likely its either crazier or dumber.
