I can't imagine how many legos it took to build this church, but it's amazing. I received this through my email today so I apologize if it's a duplicate for anyone. Just wanted to share. :)

CT.... did they give any stats about the church at all? Like did they mention what it's dimensions were? How long it took? Etc.

The email didn't come with any information, but I found the FAQ of the person who created it.

You know what's sad, is my mother has a trunk of legos of mine and my brothers that could probably make that. :(

Of course it would be all different colors. :D

Anyway, that thing is fucking awesome. Makes me wanna go bring that trunk over to my house and bust out with them again, hehe.

That's really beautiful. I can only imagine the time and patience it took to build it. :)

I wonder what denomination is is?

Judging from the modern extravagance of the architecture, probably Mormon.

Well, I was kinda joking but since Christ is on the cross they aren't an evangelical denomination. Most likely Catholic. I'm not sure if Mormons leave Christ on the cross or not but it does look like something a Mormon would do ;)

It's called the "Abston Church of Christ" so I'm betting that she's Christian.

Yeah it looks more like a Catholic to me. Either way though that had to take a lot of patience and time. I could barely make little houses before I was off to do something else cause they just weren't looking right to me. I never followed the instructions they gave me.

This the outside view to get an idea of the size of this thing.

Well, from her FAQ

11. Is it a model of a real church?

No.

So there we have it.

Catholic or Episcopalian would be my guess.

Drew

She also said it took her a year and a half to build and that she is taking it apart to build something else.

I posted the FAQ from the woman's site, ya ninny. :P

I wish she wouldn't break it down though, however I'm looking forward to seeing her other projects.

Love the kitty pictures.

I definitely knew it wasnt Catholic. A Catholic Church = classical architecture + subtle displays of enormous, incredible wealth.
