After having a landline my entire adult life, I am considering dumping it as I usually use my cell phone, and most of the calls I get on my landline these days are scam calls of one kind or another. I am curious how many folks are out there still use a landline.

Never paid for or had a landline other than the one at my parents' house I grew up with (and college dorms if you wanna count those).

Tacos, obviously. But also taco cell phones.

What's it matter what others are doing? Lose the prehistoric landline and save some money.

Landlines are used for telemarketers and pollers.

Cut the cord.

My wife still wants one, no idea why, so we have a voip landline, I never answer it. It is sort of handy for when I want to send a fax to some dinosaur that does not know how to handle e-mail attachments though.

Actual landlines carry power enough that during power outages and loss of towers you can still make calls. Otherwise pointless.

Scam calls hit any phone number, they don't care what type of line it is. - The *Only* reason I continue to have my landline right now is it is tied to our alarm company (it literally is plugged into NOTHING else), when I move to my next alarm company I am switching to cell and then cancelling the land line.

Tacos, obviously.

But, when lacking tacos, cell phone & paying the bill for it.
