Because the thought of the draft being reinstated is scary? It implies that there's no end in sight to the war in Iraq and I want it over as soon as possible.

I personally think that every person able to serve should. I don't think the draft is a bad idea at all. The ONLY downside is you would get alot of people there because they have to be not because they want to be(more so than now). Other than that it's a good thing to serve.

Yes whenever you send people over, its drastically lowers morale. I am sure someone thats wants to be over there wouldn't feel comfortable fighting alongside someone that is opposed to being there in the first place.
