View Full Version : Suddenly straight?

I worked for Best Buy for 2 years, in my time there I was good friends with a guy named Aaron. Aaron was about as straight as a rainbow, we used to check out guys together etc. Anyway, after I quit we stoped talking as much etc. Well, I get an IM from somone who used to work there as well asking if I've heard from Aaron that week. I said no, I hadn't talked to him in a few months. She then proceeded to tell me about how he "turned straight" and is totally into girls now. I haven't been able to get ahold of him, but she'd have no reason to make this up. How on earth do you "suddenly" become straight and have a girlfriend?

Maybe he was pretending to be gay and act all sensitive to get with you? Some guys can be tricky.

Um, no... He had a boyfriend he lived with. And never once ever tried to put a move on me.
He might have been bisexual or was unsure of his sexuality all along and is exploring other possibilities. There are many men and women who go their entire life being in heterosexual relationships or marriages and years down the line start dating someone of the same sex, and remain in same sex relationships. Not surprisingly it could go either way.

Yeah. Sometimes sucks pretty badly for bisexual people. Couple girls that lived in my dorm in college got treated badly by the campus Alliance as well as their folks.

He might have been physically attracted to his former boyfriend then found himself physically attracted to his current girlfriend. For some people, it's not about being gay or straight, it's about who they are attracted to. According to Anne Hecht (sp?), that's what happened to her and she's now married to a man.

Good points Kimberlyn... For some, it's who you connect with on a mental level which determines your sexual and lifestyle preference and might be the case with your friend Jenisi.

Except Tara Reed's, who definitely sealed my gayness for life.

Though I haven't yet questioned my sexuality - those did gross me out. As far as I know, nipples are supposed to be roundish. Not shaped like a nascar track.
Maybe he read about that anal sex/shit story? Sure, it was with a female, but enough to scare anyone away.

He could also have gone to one of those "ex-gay" churches/programs. They don't turn anyone straight but they do get people to suppress and repress their feelings in an effort to be "normal". For a time, anyway. More than one public proponent of such movements have later been caught in gay bars picking up guys.
More likely though, he's just bi.
