Question about Stronghold

Does anyone know if it's possible to avoid being blown off the edge of the cliff near the stone troll/giants? I've noticed that most people seem to avoid it completely and stick near the bottom.

Yes, you can be blown off at random. Other people can also push you off accidentally (or on purpose). You can also accidentally throw yourself off, by dancing for example. You also should not YELL or SHOUT, which will cause an avalanche to push you off.

You can also fall off if you try to pull someone up off the ground.

It's been ages since I was there, but I seem to recall that it's just a random chance of it happening, and there's nothing you can do to affect the outcome (except possibly sitting down). I'm not certain about this though.
