London Marathon Ballot Results on 01 October 2015

Getting excited and nervous. The ballot results for the Lo don Marathon 2016 come out tomorrow. Ok, so I have a confirmed charity place via the Multiple Sclerosis Society UK, but it's still exciting to see if I can get a ballot place. If I do I'll relinquish my charity place so someone else can enter.

As I said, I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

It's always oversubscribed...this year more than any. So names go in a hat.

they lottery the picks at most marathons for most non-world class runners at major marathons, generally they don't want the races taking 2 months to run if 500k apply or something

That'd be a very British marathon: queuing all the way from start to finish.

They'd also have speed cameras the whole way verifying all the runners were at the proper pace.
