Just dropping in to say I'm the new mod for this folder. Rookie assignment and all.

I'm going to keep this in line with the rules of Fallen/Shattered. There are none.

Things I won't put up with though.

This was something that was talked about some years ago. I doubt, very seriously, that it will ever come to be. With the current focus on HJ, I don't think Simu has any interest in creating a GemStone the Fallen anymore.

I believe the concept still has merit. People could go and get their PK jollies elsewhere, then head into the actual game when they wished to do some roleplaying.

What's funny is that I think it'd be pretty easy to "develop" Fallen. All they'd have to do really is create a mirror of regular Elanthia and remove all the rules. Not sure why they wouldn't go for it, as I think it would just be extra $ in their pocket.

Exactly. There is no "Report" function, as it was explained to me about DR: Shattered. You do what you please regardless of the consequences. No consultation lounge, or Huntress soaps.

Now THAT would be interesting. If scripts could be so advanced as to defend themselves from repeated attacks, it really would be worth hunting them down.

Remember, in Shattered, there would be no rules against spelling up the monsters in a given area. Feras weaponry, Spirit Strike, and a barrage of defensive spells goes a long way to evening up the odds.

Instead of that - I'd almost come back to GS if they had some kind of option to play the other side.... Somewhat like:

You could work your way up through the levels to eventually become stronger/different beasts. I definately like the idea.

Following up on good ideas has never been one of Simu's strong points, and the few good ideas they did follow up on, they ruined upon implementation.

I like how you put it. That'd work great I think... KIll everyone just to get it out then go back into the regular lands. Only thing then is you'll have people bringing over Comments/conversations from that server. You'd have to heavily RP it to make it like a portal to another mirror world.

Slamming would be perfectly fine in Gemstone: The Fallen. As would be abusing bugs to kill someone..whatever you could think of. It just doesn't matter, anything is allowed other than hacking someone elses account or something.

10 RT, then the next item, 20 RT, then 40, etc...

Always doubling. And yah can only take 1 at a time.

But then again... They might as well make it so that when you depart you come back full spirit/mana/health whatever.

I'd rather just like to see a server for a player war with mods.

I highly doubt there would be any development effort put into an unmonitored version of GS.

Fallen/Shattered, like it will EVER be implemented, would lack report features, merchants, events, quests, etc. Unless some GM had some extra energy and boredom to kill.

In short, if it's not in prime or plat ... don't expect it of an unmonitored version.
