Alright, after the sweet sweet HSN updates I've started a new sorcerer and I'm about to exit my first 30 days.

I'm eschewing spell aiming for a boosted cs, but I'm wondering if It would be worth it to lose a few spell ranks to 1x a lore, and if so what lore. I've gone through most of the new updates but I cant seem to figure out which lore would make the most sense to pick up, any advice would be appreciated.

If you pick up any lore, it would be necro lore; you need to figure out your hunting style, and determine what spells you are using, and what are the lore cutoffs for necro lore to help those spells. Really, though, spell ranks in sorc base and the 400 (once you get 425) are what you want, in order to maximize your CS

You should probably bump up your minor elemental to get 414. Once you hit 25, you will definitely want your minor elemental to be at 425, as well. Minor spirit can wait, 3 is a good spot for it, although you might consider 7 ranks, for deep blues.

Also, your skills can be 2 over your level, not one over.

Everything but Inf caps at 100, my CS will suck a little bit and I wont quite have as much spirit as I like, but is there anything big that I might want to change before I hit 20?

They just made a bunch of changes to spells / lores etc Last summer

Swap sorcerer spell ranks, be 1x in MnE until you get 425. The CS boost from 425 will be more than you gain from the spell ranks in sorcerer spells. Once you have 425, you can redouble your efforts for sorcerer spells.

Being Level +21 isn't necessary early on as you aren't relying on high mana spells yet, and you're going to ward pretty reliably even if you're just 1x trained in sorcerer spells until you start fighting spiritual casters in their 30s.

2.5x spells until you have TPs to 3x. 1x MnE until 425, and 1.5x in Sorcerer. By 25, you should be able to start to 3x in spells. I like getting 430 early, but that's up to you. My preference, after getting 425, is to finish up to 430 then 1x in spirit until 120, and put the rest into sorcerer until level +21 ranks have been achieved. After that it's pretty clear what to train.

Drop 1 rank in HP, you don't need to spend those TPs for 1 mana (over-training in HP beyond your current level will net just 1 mana).

I prefer 2x spell aim for 708 and FI. However, you dont really need that until later. Blowing off a right arm stops most attacks. Taking care of the right leg stops most of the other attacks.

If you want to bolt, use wizard wands, limb disrupt, or focus implosions, then grab spell aim. It simply is not required to be proficient as a sorcerer.

Any suggestions on what / where to hunt at 20 -- I've got 116 CS but most things seem to have about ~60 TD which makes warding tough.
