pardon the pun.

I downloaded a program as an ISO file and burned it onto disk all fine and dandy.

When I try and load it from disk, though, it says something about a kernel missing or something and doesnt run setup.

Is this just a bad file or is there something I can do to make it work?

Are you sure you completely downloaded the whole iso? What program did you use to Burn it?

If you are sure you did the whole process correct there is anothe route you can go by to install it, providing the ISO is not fucked.

Download a free program called ISObuster, this will extract the ISO onto your hard-drive, and then you can run it from there, and see if its fucked

There is also another free program called Daemon Tools (D-TOOLS), what this program does it create an emualted cd-rom drive in which you can LOAD the ISO up as a cd-rom, and run it from there. D-TOOLS is a really neat tool, and since I share massive amounts of movies, games, and applications (about 300 gigs worth) I can just emulate the iso's when I need them, and not have to waste massive disk space.

Hope this helps
