a billowy cloak of shadows

Not sure if I'm dead set on keeping it, so I'll be entertaining offers via PM on this (silvers, cash, caster item trade offers only please). One of two in existence in Prime.

1x per day Cloak of Shadows when rubbed - duration based on MIU
1x per day auto-hiding
+10 Stalking and Hiding Ranks enhancive
Max L/D 5/140
7 unique shadowy zests (9 if you include activators for 712/auto hide)
A bunch of ambient messaging as well (not sure if I've seen them all, will list the ones I've seen)

>close cloak
As you close the cloak, you are bathed in the gloom of the shadows.

>open cloak
As you open the cloak, the shadows retreat from around you.

>tilt cloak
You tug at the edge of your cloak and sway the shadowy draping back and forth, causing the ambient light to be absorbed into your garment.

>hug cloak
You grasp both of your shoulders and pull at your cloak, causing long, tendrils of shadow to weave in front of you before retreating back into your cloak.

>turn cloak
You grab the collar-like part of your cloak of shadows and drape it across your face, causing your features to be masked from view for a moment.

>cover cloak
You press your hands into your cloak, causing them to be hidden from view. As you slowly remove your hands, the shadows trail away a small bit before reforming back into your cloak.

>tap cloak
You tap your shadow cloak causing the shadows to ripple and reform around your finger. Pulling your hand away, the shadows withdraw from your finger and meld back into the cloak.

>rub cloak
As you rub the cloak, the shadows seem to writhe about.
1d100: 96 + Modifiers: 389 == 485

A shadowy patch of ether rises up through the ground to encompass you, swiftly sinking into your skin.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

>pull cloak
You pull on your cloak and are completely engulfed in shadows.
H>

Ambients:

The shadows around your cloak seem to lick the air, like flames.

Shadows reach around your body, fully encircling you, causing you to see nothing but black for a moment before they retreat once more.

The shadows surrounding you dart out, probing the air around you before melding back in your cloak.

Long, shadowy tendrils branch out from your cloak, as if dancing in the air before you.

The area around you grows dark causing your vision to flicker to black for a few moments.

Your shadow cloak spreads down to the floor, causing a pool of shadow to gather underneath you.

You couldn't you? Rapture cloaks aren't cloak worn.

Lolwhut?

Though somewhat rare, some cloaks are backworn.

ballpark of what this is worth?

It's hard to put a value on because of the "cool" factor, and that there are only 2 total in prime. The value will drop as more are released.

If I had to guess a number, i'd say 75 mill. Some would say that's too high, but at open auction and a bidding war broke out (which I think it would), that might be seen as low.

i would say that is 40 million too high

I overpay for everything, so you be right. I find it's always best to just toss out a number in these types of threads. It inspires others to second guess you and ends up establishing a good price range.

I was just talking with someone about this. The original rapture cloaks are back worn and I guess they changed that at some point. I figure it's because 90s Gemstone thinking saw the rare pocketed clock as a special kind of backpack.

Everyone knows "proper" cloaks weren't invented until 5006, by the esteemed Earl of Cloakingham.

I'd guess higher then the 35 Orbstar seems to be suggesting, though not sure as high as 75, it really depends who wants it however. I've paid more for less useful items that I consider neat enough.
