Considering firing up the ole' Kips now that UAC has gotten a bit of love. He's a halfling warrior ~50'ish with some 8x halflnig style full plate. Is UAC still usable in half plate or should I consider dropping down to some rigid leathers or chain?

If I recall, you were trying to maximize brawling with utilizing 2 weapons and flares. I dont think that approach got much love.

I was playing with it (and yes, trying to maximize it) but I still hunted primarily using plain ole' UAC since adding the brawling weapons didn't really do much for me.

Half plate will drop your MM by 8.

Yea, the plate I have ran me 25m (20 lbs, 8x, spiked, halfling only, full plate) so it's tough to get rid of. I'm curious what kind of armor a warrior could drop down to and be successful using UAC. Also, they didn't update berserk to work with UAC so that's something I forgot about. Berserk is amaze-balls and not using it makes me sad.

I've gone back and forth on it. On the one hand, thematically, unarmed combat is supposed to be a "maintain your cool" style of combat that doesn't really fit berserking. On the other hand, unarmed berserking warriors are left out in the cold right now, which doesn't seem right either. I'll bring it up at the next dev meeting.
Hope they add berserk support.
As far as armor goes -8 MM isn't too bad, especially since you can offset that with the mastery CMs.

Mstrike punch is pretty effective underhunting, will have to try it out at like level and see if it's worth the trouble.

I really like using the weaker UAC compatible brawlers for parry chance (3x parry mastery/mongoose is quite nice), as well as hamstring since I'm a halfling. I guess I have to weigh the incredibly awesome hamstring vs the awesomesness of higher levels of armor. I'm not sure which is more useful. Hamstring is damn near 100% success rate assuming what I'm hamstringing isn't immune but getting hit is inevitable as a warrior.

Can you not use hamstring while wearing plate?

Yes, but 2x brawlers + full plate is a HEFTY MM penalty and is quite noticeable.

True. Just use a script, pull out your weapons and hamstring then stow them.

I think we all know I'm all for scripting but there are some things even I consider silly.
