Those images still stun me every time I see them. To think someone could make a sidewalk chalk drawing look so real is mind boggling.

He used photoshop, color me unimpressed.
500 hours... thats dedication. Very awesome. I’d like to see the original he worked from, if there is one.
Damn how'd he do the sky?

Even artists need to whore themselves out now and then to pay the bills.

Things like that make the mischievous side of me want to throw a bucket of water from the top of a neighboring building.

The guy sitting on that well, with people falling down. Chalk masterpiece. Is he chalk or real person? He looks like Mad TV guy.
edit: wow @ 3 dimensional drawing of chalk guy

the paintshop of venice is impressive for what it is, but certainly a pointless exercise. (it's probably for those people who like a challenge on that level).
Sidewalk chalk man rules. part of the perspective/3d effect comes from the fact that it's a photgraph. I haven't seen those in public, but I am hazarding a guess that they would look flatter IRL.. still, awesome work. And I believe some of those pictures were taken with a fisheye lens..

Eh, according to the site he could have replicated the same process in paint if he had another 300+ hours to spend on it. Personally I wouldn't take that away from someone who already spent 500 hours on the project.

I wouldn't take a thing away from him, no matter what he used. I certainly couldn't do anything near that awesome, so to put it down would be...presumptuous, to say the least, on my part.
