SOLD - thanks all

I can confirm that £100.00 ($160.00) has been donated to the MS Society. (this inclides the tax consessions for donating to charity)

----

I wanted to express my considerable thanks to all those who posted some wonderful messages - both publicly and privately .
I don't want to get too mushy, but when I have those moments when i'm feeling a bit down, I am going to read and re-read those comments. I'm seeing my sis tomorrow so will share with her.

...ok enough of the mush! Get on with your hunting and drinking and stuff.... hehe.

I may be interested in this Brem. Well, you could mark me down as interested.

I won't be around on LNET tomorrow though, so this may be a better place for me to bid since I will be working the week.

I don't normally respond to reputation comments as I treat them more as fun. However I was a bit pissed off with this one:

A new low for prime, entering a contest to sell the prize.

Firstly, if you think this is a new low, you clearly haven't been playing the game for very long.

Secondly, if I could have used this prize upon receipt, you'd have had to prise this win from my cold dead hands. I have been fortunate enough to not need any GALD. And this wasn't like a raffle win, where I could turn round and say 'let the next person have it'. It was a win for actually putting some effort in and creating something that would last in the game - which was the reason I entered in the first place, along with the other three entrants, all of whom won a prize.

Finally, the money is going to charity. There is no personal gain. - except perhaps in the sense that I feel better about myself doing something for someone else. I have a sister who has locked in syndrome - not too dissimilar from Steven Hawkins - as a result of suffering from the worst form of Multiple Sclerosis. She is 46, and the prognosis is not good. Basically she is locked in her body until the day she dies, totally dependant on others. And I mean totally. Somewhere in the back of my mind is the thought that perhaps my contribution may lead in some way to a cure. Who knows. I may be just paying for the coffee of the person working on the cure! Much as I love the game - and god knows I love it - I can live with doing this for the second time since 1996. Actually may be the third time. Sold a sword I won at EG in 2008 and a deed to a private home from Droughtman.

On that note I really AM going to bed now..after one more post.

I promise not to prolong this. 24 hours is more than long enough.

Thanks all.

Anyone who bitches about a donation to a worthy cause is pathetic.

What's your highest offer so far? I'm seriously considering this.

That and lawl at the dude who acts like Brem is the first person to ever win a contest/auction/raffle only to re-sell it, let alone for a charity even if minor...

CB is 15 mil to private bidder.

Will end this is 13 hours and be true to my word of doing this in less than 24 hours.

Addendum: I've just read a number of personal comments. On behalf of my sister and I THANK YOU for taking the time to write them. They mean a lot!!

I think it's fantastic that you're donating the proceeds, and I'm 100% behind this. Best of luck with the sale... I'm tempted to bid just because of this.

WOW someone clearly doesn't know you. Also this is a great price and a great cause, I'd bid on it but I'm still waiting to hear back on the one I won at simucon so I'm abstaining!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to bremerial again.

You're an inspiration Brem, don't spare another thought for anyone who thinks otherwise.
